Prince Charles Angels

Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith,
Cheryl Ladd, Shelley Hack and Tanya Roberts
have all met Prince Charles

All the Angels, the Charlie's Angels, have met Britain's Prince Charles at different points in the 1970s and 1980s. The worldwide popularity of the series had the press calling the prince's then girlfriends Charlie's Angels at the time. Farrah Fawcett met the prince twice - in October 1977 (with then husband Lee Majors at the Beverly Hilton Hotel for a gala black tie dinner in his honor) and again in September 1978 (with singer Johnny Mathis backstage at the London Palladium after he attended the Supernight Show in aid of the United World Colleges). Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd met the prince in November 1977 on the set of their hit TV series at the 20th Century Fox lot while they were filming the episode "Magic Fire." At the time, he said to the press, "Now you know why they call them Charlie’s Angels." Shelley Hack along with Bobby Short met the prince at a White House dinner in honor of the soon-to-be-married prince in May of 1981. Tanya Roberts (along with the film's cast and the band Duran Duran) met the prince and his then wife Diana, Princess of Wales, in the June 1985 premiere of the James Bond film A View To a Kill at the Empire Leicester Square in London. It was in aid of British Deaf Association & The Prince's Trust.
