Shelley's casting as Tiffany Welles, Charlie's newest Angel, was biggest news of 1979. Many people thought she fit the bill perfectly; because she was "blonde, gorgeous, classy and full of life." She was a knock-out and fit right into the "angel type." Plus, her Charlie perfume ads were such a sensation, she was already a star herself; so she fit right in with Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd. Thus, everyone couldn't wait to see her debut episode on the hit series.
