In 1992, Shelley co-starred in the TV movie Taking Back My Life: The Nancy Ziegenmeyer Story. The film was based on a true story about a rape victim who believed that rape is never the victim's fault. It was directed by Shelley's husband Harry Winer and starred Patricia Wettig in the title role. Shelley played Assistant Polk County Attorney Nan Horvat, a brunette.
