Swingin' into Action

An ad for "Dancin' Angels"
a Charlie's Angels episode aired in 1980

In 1979, Shelley joined the cast of one of the biggest action shows on TV, Charlie's Angels, as the newest Angel - joining incumbent Angels Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd. Shelley was Charlie's best-dressed Angel (she was a Supermodel after all) and no other episode emphasized this more than "Dancin' Angels". In the story, the Angels find themselves at an old-fashioned ballroom dance contest where the sister of their client was last seen. To blend in, the Angels were dressed to the nines; and Shelley/Tiffany was just stunning in her golden skin-tight Nolan Miller.

Shelley/Tiffany was stunning in "Dancin' Angels", but, as usual, she was underused as a character and most of the investigating was made by Kelly and Kris. But her scenes with David Doyle are a gem. The rapport between them is evident. Channel Surfing: Charlie's Angels wrote that Shelley fainted on the set when they were filming the episode which freaked out the cast and crew for a while. Shelley took a few moments to recover and the set was back to filming. Could her fainting be the reason she had shorter scenes? Hollywood legend Cesar Romero was a guest star in the episode.
