When Shelley became a Charlie's Angel in 1979, she became an instant celebrity. Suddenly, everyone was interested in everything about her. She appeared in countless magazines and newspapers worldwide and was even mentioned in the evening news worldwide. Shelley was surprised by the amount of attention her casting generated and was worried she might not be able to live up to the all the advanced publicity. But nevertheless went on and gave Angels her best shot.
