Shelley joined the cast of Charlie's Angels in 1979 and was thrust into the world of Superstardom. The TV series was (and is) much beloved throughout the world and every addition of a new Angel was big news to fans. Gossip columns and tabloids began writing about her and featuring her. She became a Hollywood Superstar even before she filmed anything for the TV series.
