Shelley is famously known for being THE Charlie Girl, Revlon's most successful line of women's fragrance and cosmetics. But prior to that, Shelley had appeared in ads for other fragrances as well. She appeared in ads for Chanel No. 5 and for the men's fragrance Braggi. In 1971, she appeared in an ad for the fragrance Hot Pants. The fragrance was geared towards teenagers; and the ad featured Shelley in teenage duds and sporting the fresh natural look which was popular among the younger set at the time.
