Shelley was featured on the cover of the January 1990 issue of Beverly Hills [213]. On the cover, she wore a white oversized man's shirt over a black tank top and a pair of black evening shorts. Her look was finished with a pair of suspenders and a pair of necklaces. A writeup about her is also featured inside called "Open Doors." It discussed how her "style and charisma in modeling transcended the glossy pages of magazines into a successful acting career." In the writeup, she also talked about her latest project at the time, the play Tamara by John Krizanc. Shelley had a lot of fun doing the play. From 1989 to 1990, she played Luisa Baccara, a character "who starts out crazy and gets crazier" according to her.
