Shelley told her fans at the 2009 Hollywood Collector's Show about her experience filming the 1989 thriller Blind Fear. She said that during filming, she wore a type of contact lens that literally blocked her vision, making her totally blind. She said she really couldn't see anything. The film is currently available on DVD.
