In the '90s, Shelley began her transition from actress to international media consultant. As her acting career winded down, she began delving into grassroots politics in Los Angeles. Later on, she began taking an active role in political fund raising, as well as election organization and registration. Her career move culminated in the creation of Shelley Hack Media Consultancy (SHMC), a media consultancy firm that worked in pre- and post-conflict countries. SHMC produced the first-ever televised presidential debates held in Bosnia-Herzegovina. For ten years, SHMC helped develop unbiased television, film, and associated media projects in war-torn and developing countries throughout the world. Great going, girl.
