Screen captures of Shelley from the stage play Vanities
Shelley starred in the Jack Heifner play Vanities in November of 1980 with Meredith Baxter Birney and Annette O'Toole. It was filmed for TV as part of HBO's Standing Room Only series and was aired in 1981. Shelley, Meredith and Annette played Texas high school cheerleaders Mary, Kathy and Joanne respectively. The play was about the girls' lives, loves and friendships from high school to post graduation (from 1963 to 1974). Shelley surprised many with her performance in this play. She received a lot of well-deserved critical praise.
