Shelley appeared in many sewing books when she was a model. In 1972, she appeared in the Book of Sewing. The book taught readers the basics of sewing and many things readers could do to create one-of-a-kind fashion pieces that would surely make them stand out. One of the outfits she modeled was a long madras dress with soft shoulders and puffy sleeves. A matching ribbon belt, a choker and a pair of pumps finished her look. With her hair simply slicked back, Shelley looked fresh as a daisy.
