Shelley appeared on many ads in the 1960s and 1970s. In 1977, she appeared in an ad for Fortrel. The ad featured Shelley in a dress by Hal Ferman. Ferman was an aeronautical engineer who was stationed in China during WWII. After the war, he became one of the first mass producers of designer dresses under the label Hal Ferman, Inc.
