Shelley was among the celebrities who participated in the two hour-long specials released in the 1990s, Celebrity Guide to Wine (1990) and Celebrity Guide to Entertaining (1993). Spago restaurant maître d' Bernard Erpicum hosted Celebrity Guide to Wine, which offered viewers tips in choosing the best wines for any occasion. Bernard Erpicum also hosted Celebrity Guide to Entertaining, but this time with the help of co-host Paula McClure. Celebrity Guide to Entertaining introduced viewers to various styles of entertaining, proper behavior and decorum during meals, as well as some culinary delights. Both specials are helpful guides for the holiday season.

Celebrity Guide to Wine was a fun and practical guide to everything about wine. It answered questions many people had regarding the drinking and serving of wine, as well as debunked some of the myths and the rules on the subject. Aside from Shelley, Dudley Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, Herbie Hancock, Kelly Le Brock, Robert Loggia and Steven Seagal joined in on the fun. It was released in both VHS and LaserDisc formats. Celebrity Guide to Entertaining introduced viewers to various styles of entertaining, proper behavior and decorum during meals, as well as featured some culinary delights. Joining Shelley were Ed Begley Jr., Tony Curtis, Sarah Douglas, Terri Garr, Whoopi Goldberg, Merv Griffin, Kelly Le Brock, Michael Lerner, Dorothy Lyman, Dudley Moore, Joe Regalbuto, Steven Seagal, Rod Steiger, Jon Voight, Peter Weller and Jackie Collins. It was released in VHS format.
