Know-How Knits

Shelley in a spread for the 1976 Montgomery Ward Spring Bicentennial Edition Catalog

Shelley appeared in the Spring Bicentennial Edition Catalog of Montgomery Ward in 1976. She appeared in the spread called "Know-How Knits: So Carefree.. So Affordable!" which featured Mock Tutle tops and Linen-Look pants. The Mock Turtles were stretchy turtle-neck tops that zipped at the back. They came in three different sleeve lengths; and Shelley modeled the short sleeved and long sleeved versions in navy and medium lilac respectively. The Linen-Look pants were pull-on pants that were textured to feel like linen. Slightly flared at the legs, they were staples in women's wardrobes in the mid-'70s. Shelley wore the white and medium lilac versions.
