Multicolor Shawl

Shelley in a spread for Woman's Day, 1970

Shelley appeared on Woman's Day mag's November 1970 issue in a spread called "100 Gifts to Make". It featured gifts that could be knit, sewn, crocheted or put together for readers to give out in the coming Christmas season. It ranged from gifts to make under $5 to small remembrances for important people to great gifts for the very special people everyone's lives. Shelley modeled a gift that anyone could make for under $5. It was a multicolor shawl that could be crocheted from odd bits of knitting worsted. And she looked so lovely and toasty warm in it.
