Shelley was one of the up-and-coming actresses in 1978. She had gained fame as a Supermodel via her Charlie perfume endorsements and was poised to become the next big thing in Hollywood. After a starring role in the movie If Ever I See You Again, a guest role in the TV series Married: The First Year and wrapping up the TV movie Death Car on the Freeway, she auditioned for the role of Tiffany Welles in the hit TV series Charlie's Angels and got the part. Shelley became an overnight superstar even before filming anything for Charlie's Angels.
