for Simplicity The Fashion Magazine for Women Fall/Winter 1972
Shelley appeared on the cover as well as in many spreads throughout Simplicity The Fashion Magazine for Women Fall/Winter 1972. In the spread under "Fashion Focus 7" called "Make A Really Pretty Dress", she modeled Simplicity Pattern 5159, a knit dress that was like a sweater. The spread encouraged young women to don dresses that looked like separates (a sweater and skirt set) but have the comfort of a dress. The snappy sportswear look fooled the eye and with the right accessories, looked très chic. And of course, Shelley looked très chic in hers.
